WHO WAS MONTY BANKS

Monty Banks is the pseudonym of Mario Bianchi: actor, director and dancer born in Cesena in the late nineteenth century and emigrated to the United States, became famous at the time of silent cinema. He made his first screen appearance in 1916 and later directed and starred in several brilliant films.
In 1929 he moved to Great Britain and a few years later met Gracie Fields, actress and variety singer, whom he married in 1940 and who will be an interpreter of some of his films.
It is with her that often returns to Romagna and on the occasion of a trip decides to buy "the Belvedere" then Villa Bianchi.
