Villa Monty Banks – Yesterday

VILLA
MONTY BANKS YESTERDAY

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
Villa Monty Banks was born as a holiday home. It was Monty Banks, together with his wife Gracie Fields, who chose it to create a home where to spend rest and relaxation in Romagna. The villa was built in 1939 under the guidance of the architect Gualtiero Pontoni, with clear British influences and with an unusual style both for the Romagna area and for the Italian architecture of the time.

ARCHITECTURE

Today, the conservative restoration carried out following a historical-architectural investigation has allowed to enhance the special elements of a unique villa for the context in which it is located. The interior design combines the taste of the thirties with contemporary furnishings and comfort to create an elegant and relaxed atmosphere. The interior is decorated with natural materials such as marble and wood, and colors in harmony with those of nature that comes forcefully from the large windows, 79 to be exact, which give brightness to each room.
